Manufacturing Equipment at Midlake Products
In order to provide our customers with excellent services and products, Midlake Products has invested in the best possible and latest tools needed to get each custom job done right. Some of our equipment includes:
Lasers
Laser cutting machines are used in our metal fabrication and custom hinge manufacturing processes. Midlake Products utilizes three state of the art Bystronic laser cutting machines.
The major advantage of using lasers in our manufacturing process is that they produce a perfect cut. They also use the smallest amount of material possible for any custom job, allowing us to meet tight tolerances while minimizing waste. Our lasers provide consistency, improved yields, superior edge conditions, almost unlimited freedom of work, and eliminate the need for hard tooling.
With three of these state of the art lasers at our disposal, we can turn around any order quickly without sacrificing quality.
Punches
As a custom sheet metal manufacturer, Midlake Products has a variety of punching equipment in our manufacturing facilities ranging from manual punch presses to automated machines.
Most of our work is done on a modern and advanced turret punch press in our Ohio Main Plant facility to perform any task you may require for your custom manufacturing needs. Our CNC turret punch press machine features:
- 20 tone punching capability
- Thin style tooling
- Able to punch 0.125” thick steel
- Able to punch 0.250” thick aluminum
- Able to punch 0.074” thick stainless steel
- A 48” by 50” table
At Midlake, we can perform 20 ton punching with thin style tooling, punch .125 inch thick steel, .250 inch thick aluminum, and .074 inch thick stainless steel.
Forming
Forming takes a sheet metal blank and bends or shapes it into an item that a customer can use for their required application. Our metal forming equipment includes:
- Four CNC Amada HDS and HFE types with precision ground tooling
- Six hydraulic and mechanical press brakes
- Metal Rolling
Most of our forming processes are done by air bending. This bending method forms material by pressing a punch into the material, forcing it into a bottom V-die. We can also offer bottoming or coining as a forming method.
We also have the equipment needed to do certain riveting, welding, bolting and perform kitting for our customers.
