Powder Coating
The Midlake powder coating division was created with the specific needs of our customers in mind. Powder coating is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder which is electrostatically charged and cured under heat to provide a coated part. Powder coating is a hard finish that is stronger they conventional paint. We provide many finishes including urethane, epoxy, hybrids and anti-microbial. Our seven stage pre-treatment process, which includes iron phosphate, ensures superior performance and adhesion. The cleaning of the parts is critical prior to the powder coating process which improves the bonding of the powder to the metal.
Some advantages of powder coating:
- Powder coatings emit zero or near zero volatile organic compounds (VOC).
- Color and Texture variety with standard and custom colors available
- Resistant to heat, corrosion, impact and abrasion
- Eliminates chipping or scratching
