Midlake Product's steel hinges are typically produced from 1018 Cold Rolled Steel. Our capabilities allow us to utilize stocked continuous hinges and add secondary operation such as punching the holes, forming the leaves or cutting the hinge to your specified length to produce a finished product.
If your application requires a more custom or specialty hinge, then manufacturing your hinges on one of our state-of-the-art lasers or our CNC turret could be the answer that you are looking for. Utilizing our laser cutting technology enables us to provide a custom hinge that will require either no tooling or limited tooling cost.
Our current curling tools allow us to offer hinges in the following thickness and pin diameters. If your requirement is not listed, please contact us so we can discuss further:
.035" thick material can be curled around a .125" diameter pin
.048" thick material can be curled around a .125" diameter pin
.060" thick material can be curled around a .125" diameter pin, .156" diameter pin, or a .187" diameter pin
.074" thick material can be curled around a .156" diameter pin, .187" diameter pin, or a .250" diameter pin
.090" thick material can be curled around a .187" diameter pin or .250" diameter pin
.120" thick material can be curled around a .250" diameter pin or a .375" diameter pin
Midlake Products can also offer plating or powder coating to your hinge so you will receive a part that is ready to be used.
